Description of Significance THE COMPLEX OF BUILDINGS AT 1-13 NORTHEAST SIXTH STREET IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA COUNTY PROVIDED THE TELEPHONE COMPANY EASY RAILROAD ACCESS AS WELL AS CRITICAL MANUFACTURING AND STORAGE SPACE IN THE FIRST DECADES OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. THE PIONEER TELEPHONE COMPANY WAREHOUSE AND GARAGE IS ELIGIBLE FOR LISTING IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES UNDER CRITERIA A FOR ASSOCIATION WITH DEVELOPMENTS IN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN 1909 AND 1917 AT THE LOCAL LEVEL OF SIGNIFICANCE.
